As we stated in the last post, we hit a wall and realized that we were being irresponsible and bad stewards of what we’ve been blessed with. That’s when we had to take responsibility, sit down and start to gather all of the pieces of our financial life. It seemed overwhelming at first, but what really helped us is what we’re going to be sharing today. I don’t know the exact name for it, but we’ve always called it our napkin budget because in its absolute earliest stage it was jotted down on a napkin. It has grown significantly and matured into a full-fledged, family-supporting budget, but we had to start somewhere. That’s the key right there… starting somewhere. You have to take those first steps and start working your way towards a goal. Our goal was to start being responsible for the money we’ve been given stewardship over and stop having worried nights about if there will be enough money to pay all the bills. We hope that this “Napkin Budget” can help you as you get started! If there are any suggestions or comments regarding the Napkin Budget, please feel free to leave a comment. We will do all we can to help!
